Evan Bolick

Evan Bolick joins us from the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One, where he was employed as a clerk for Judge Lawrence F. Winthrop for the past year. Evan received his Juris Doctorate from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2010, graduating cum laude. Evan spent a summer during law school in Phoenix, working as an intern for the Diamondbacks legal department and the Goldwater Institute.
While in law school, Evan was the associate chief judge on the Holderness Moot Court, competitor on the Environmental Appellate Advocacy team, and recipient of the Order of Barristers. He has been a legal intern for Clean Water for North Carolina, and served as a research assistant for the Samuel Ashe Distinguished Professor in Constitutional Law Michael J. Gerhardt. He also received the top grade in his Wrongful Convictions class for Fall 2009 in which he was assigned a pending case for innocence review. Evan has completed over 100 hours of pro bono public service while attending UNC Law.
Evan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Religion from James Madison University in Virginia. While at JMU, Evan served as Director of Issues and Cultural Awareness and brought a variety of speakers to campus including Bruce Campbell, Jeff Corwin and Paul Rusesabagina.
