Sarah Kubiak has a broad practice that is focused on environmental law, real estate law, tax appeals and civil litigation. She has handled countless real estate and business transactions including acquisition of raw land and improved commercial properties, condominium formation, leasing, development of multi-tenant office properties, business formation, and business sales. Sarah also has significant litigation experience. She has represented a resort in a complex land use case adverse to Coconino County involving a nonconforming use, a sanitary district in litigation involving a sewer hookup moratorium, a commercial property owner in a broker commission dispute, and residential homeowners in HOA disputes, in addition to numerous other matters. This diverse background in transactional law and civil litigation makes her adept at spotting issues before they become a problem and providing practical advice to her clients.
Prior to law school, Sarah conducted scientific research in the areas of Geology and Oceanography. She also worked as an environmental consultant in Arizona and California.
Sarah serves on the Arizona State Bar Communications Advisory Committee and is a mentor for the Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology. She co-authored “Ground Leases on Native American Lands,” which appeared in the July 2007 edition of the Arizona Journal of Real Estate & Business.
Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in Geology from Arizona State University and her J.D. from the University of Arizona in 2005. She is licensed to practice in Arizona and California.
