Rose Law Group is hiring! Intellectual Property attorney (+5 years)

Rose Law Group pc is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience advising clients on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, trade secrets, licensing, and IP related transactions. Experience with intellectual property litigation is highly desirable. This position offers the opportunity to work with entrepreneurs, startups, established businesses, and inventors across a variety of industries.

 

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients regarding the protection, acquisition, enforcement, and commercialization of intellectual property assets.
  • Prepare, file, and prosecute trademark applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Conduct trademark clearance searches and prepare legal opinions regarding registrability and potential infringement.
  • Draft and negotiate intellectual property agreements, including:

o Licensing agreements

o Assignment agreements

o Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

o Technology transfer agreements

o Software licensing agreements

o Joint development agreements

  • Counsel clients regarding copyright registration, ownership, licensing, and enforcement.
  • Advise clients on trade secret protection and confidentiality strategies.
  • Conduct intellectual property due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, financing transactions, and business sales.
  • Assist businesses with IP portfolio management and strategic planning.
  • Evaluate infringement claims and advise clients regarding enforcement strategies and risk management.
  • Draft cease-and-desist letters and respond to infringement allegations.
  • Represent clients in intellectual property disputes, including litigation support, mediation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings when applicable.
  • Collaborate with attorneys in corporate, commercial litigation, real estate, employment, and business transactions to address intellectual property issues affecting clients.
  • Monitor developments in intellectual property law and advise clients on changes affecting their businesses.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and participate in business development activities.

 

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of Arizona in good standing (or ability to become admitted).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing intellectual property law.
  • Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is preferred for candidates handling patent matters.
  • Experience with trademark prosecution and portfolio management.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating intellectual property and technology-related agreements.
  • Knowledge of copyright, trademark, trade secret, and patent law.
  • Experience conducting IP due diligence for business transactions.
  • Intellectual property litigation experience is a plus.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent client service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Portable book of business is preferred but not required.
