Are real estate and construction essential services? Scottsdale law firm hosts emergency webinar

Jordan Rose

When Jordan Rose’s phone started ringing off the hook the afternoon of March 30 from construction companies asking if Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey’s stay-at-home order applied to them, she knew it was time to spring into action.

Yes, construction and real estate are essential services, so the governor is not shutting down those businesses, said the founder and president of Rose Law Group.

She also quickly organized a Virtual Power Lunch for March 31 at noon to discuss the issue — along with topics such as the various state and federal loan/incentive programs as well as landlord and tenant rights during the virus crisis — more deeply. Register here for the free luncheon (bring your own lunch).

The virtual power lunch is modeled after two other sessions Rose conducted over the past two Fridays, with 187 people participating in the first Friday session and 343 people for the March 27 session, she said.

While the March 31 event is an emergency session, another Friday session is scheduled for April 3, featuring Peter Thomas, who is developing workforce housing in Phoenix; Michael Iles Cremieux, Arizona division president for Richmond American Homes; Nate Nathan, owner of Nathan & Associates land brokerage firm; and Dr. Leigh Erin Connealy, author of “The Cancer Revolution.” Register here for that event.
