As the second wave of the COVID-19 outbreak continues in Arizona, senior communities are turning to televëda — a digital startup aimed at helping prevent the ills of isolation for thousands of local seniors.

The digital subscription gives seniors aging-in-place an opportunity to participate in unlimited access to interactive fitness and wellness as well as other meaningful social interactions.

Mayank Mishra, co-founder of televëda, says he saw a real void that needed to be filled as the COVID-19 pandemic set in earlier this calendar year.

“Right now, senior-living communities are overwhelmed because of the pandemic. Engagement is taking a hit and they do not have many activities and people are isolating in their rooms,” he said. “They have reached out to us to make sure we can help give them something to look forward to and to keep them engaged.”
