Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have split after just 15 months of marriage. Amber, 30, filed for divorce from the film star this week in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. She listed the date of their separation as Sunday.

According to TMZ, Johnny, 52, has filed legal documents of his own asking the judge to reject Amber’s claim for spousal support. The star is said to be worth around $400million.

“I suppose there is no good time to file for divorce and I’m not aware of any divorce filing handbook.  But filing so soon after the death of your spouse’s mother seems a bit distasteful.  I’m curious to know the reason for the timing.  I’m also not surprised Depp is disputing Heard’s claim for maintenance.  They have no children together, their marriage was extremely short in duration, and my guess is that Heard has experienced her own share of financial success as an actress and is financially self-sufficient.   But with celebrity divorces it’s never that cut and dry.”
