David McDowell

David McDowell is the Partner and Director of the Litigation Department at Rose Law Group pc. He was born and raised on a farm in Southwest Washington, where he learned the value of hard work and persevering until the work was done. He began his first business at age 12 selling seedling vegetables out of a greenhouse he and his grandfather built. He attended Washington State University and studied business administration with a focus in cost accounting. He graduated with honor in the top 15% of his class. He completed his Juris Doctorate in 1994 at University of Oregon and University of Idaho where he also graduated with honors in the top 10% of his class.

David practiced in Oregon and Washington for six years litigating real estate disputes and handling business and real estate purchases and sales. While in Washington and Oregon, David worked closely with several companies doing turn-around work on retail and industrial properties. David’s accounting background allowed him to assist his clients with managing the profitability of the projects as well as developing creative solutions to financing, tenanting, refurbishing, and selling the projects.

In 2001, David moved to Arizona at the request of a client to continue turn-around work. In Arizona, David began building his litigation practice. While litigating cases, David continued his transactional practice including real estate and business transactions, entity formation, stock and asset purchases and sales, commercial financing, commercial leasing, and contract negotiation and drafting. David has managed two law firms since 2005.

David joined Rose Law Group pc in 2014, bringing his extensive experience litigating commercial and contract disputes, ADA accessibility claims, ADA compliance, ADA professional liability claims, product liability claims, construction defect claims, indemnity and insurance claim, and personal injury and wrongful death claims arising from automobile accidents, trucking accidents, construction site accidents, consumer and commercial products, and premises liability along with providing employment law services. David’s education and background allows him to focus on cost-effective and creative solutions in litigation consistent with his client’s business objectives.

In recent years, David’s practice has focused on meeting the needs of local and national retailers. In addition to handling personal injury claims arising from premises accidents, automobile accidents, and commercial trucking accidents, David has assisted clients with subrogation claims, CAM reconciliations, landlord disputes, indemnity claims against landlords and product manufacturers and distributors, and lease negotiation. David’s litigation and transactional experience has allowed him to develop a one-stop-shop for retail clients.

David is licensed to practice in Arizona state and Federal courts, Washington state and Federal courts, and in Oregon.

In his free time he enjoys remodeling homes for resale, fly fishing, and running.
