What started as a fledgling medical marijuana industry in 2010 has flowered into a sector that generates more than $1 billion in annual sales in Arizona.
And it’s going to keep growing, well, like a weed, experts say.

Perhaps our legislature can learn from this. There are so many ways to curb spending and unleash the economic forces of creative entrepreneurs if we roll back regulation even slightly.
“In this new cannabis fueled economic frontier there will opportunities beyond just cultivation and sales, but processing, testing, and other ancillary industries will see tremendous benefits. We are already seeing real estate values appreciate as well.”
