Board Member: Jordan Rose
Title: President and Founder
Company: Rose Law Group pc
What it does: Legal services
How does your company give back to the community, and what has been the impact? Every Rose Law Group team member is required to be involved in our community in some capacity. We are currently involved in 80-plus nonprofits across the state and try to give back our time and resources to make a larger impact. Every year we give at least six figures to our community nonprofits.
What is your superpower as a board member, and how do you wield it? I try to be respectful of people’s time and grateful for their expertise. When I lead a board I attempt to put all of the reports in writing so members can read those prior to the meeting and we only spend time on those things if there are questions. I feel like it would be a massively wasted opportunity to have such excellence in one room and just spend that hour talking at these people. Instead I try to focus our Board meetings on having deep conversations with all of the Members participating. After all, the whole reason they are there is they have a point of view that is important to hear and take action based on their input. It seems like such a missed opportunity to spend time with a board and not hear the members point of view on actual issues.

Jordan Rose, Rose Law Group founder and president, was supported by friends and staff for her recognition as a finalist in the Phoenix Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy awards in the Non-profit Board Member of the Year category, for her contributions to the Phoenix Art Museum.
