The Phoenix City Council will vote tomorrow on endorsing a bid to host the NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four at Talking Stick Resort Arena in 2025 or 2026.

The downtown, city owned arena is being renovated and Phoenix is working with the Phoenix Suns on how to accommodate hosting the Women’s Final Four.

One of the arguments made for renovating the TSR Arena was that a more modern facility would help attract more special events to downtown Phoenix.

State Farm Stadium in Glendale hosted the Men’s Basketball Final Four in 2017 and will host it again in 2024.

The Phoenix Convention Center will host the NCAA’s annual convention in 2024.

The city of Phoenix would join Arizona State University and the Greater Phoenix Convention and Visitors Bureau in the effort to attract the Women’s Final Four. If awarded, it would be the first time Phoenix hosted the event.
