Kind Hospitality Inc, a local restaurant company that is a licensee of OHSO Brewery + Distillery, and owner of Macayo’s Mexican Food chain as well as other popular restaurants has turned to HealthyVerify Certification to help with their reopening and navigation of a safe food environment amidst of COVID-19.

Scottsdale-based HealthyVerify Certification (HVC) is the country’s only independent medically based, scientific, and professional certification company helping reduce the risk of COVID-19.

Other Kind Hospitality restaurants being helped and certified for HVC include Barrio Brewing Co., Copper Plate, an American Grill. All of Kind Hospitality restaurants are located in the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan area, as well as at the following airports; Phoenix Sky Harbor, Phoenix –Mesa Gateway, Dallas Fort Worth, and Charlotte, North Carolina.

HealthyVerify has helped the restaurants develop best practices to curb spread of the virus and build confidence in those procedures with customers and employees.

They include temperature checks for employees, formal action plans for if and when an employee contracts the coronavirus, protective gear and attire for employees and COVID curbing operational changes ranging from hostess stations and reservations to limiting capacity, social distancing and touchless payment methods.

Kind Hospitality is based in Mesa. CEO Nava Singam said working with HealthyVerify validates his company’s reopening efforts.

“I view this certification very similar to the serve safe certificates that were issued to restaurant managers certified to serve food in a safe way. The HealthyVerify seal provides our establishments the validation that we are ensuring our guests are dining in a safe environment,” Singam said.

HealthyVerify’s team includes medical experts from the Barrow Neurological Institute and researchers from Arizona State University.

HVC has also helped Mountainside Fitness, Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona, Haydon Building Corp., the City of Goodyear, Avondale Elementary School District and numerous other workplaces, venues and businesses with their COVID curbing efforts.
