Jeremy Kapteyn To Chair IP Department and Will Focus On Intellectual Property Matters Related to the Cannabis Industry
(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) – Rose Law Group pc is proud to announce the hiring of Jeremy Kapteyn as the chair of the firm’s intellectual property law department. At RLG, Kapteyn will lead intellectual property matters involving cannabis industry-related technical innovation and branding in Arizona’s first intellectual property practice concentrating on IP issues in the cannabis industry.
Prior to joining Rose Law Group, Kapteyn worked as an intellectual property attorney at Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. from 2011 to 2016, where he provided clients with intellectual property procurement and strategic counseling services. Kapteyn graduated from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona in 2011. Kapteyn earned his Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Purdue University in 2003. After earning his doctorate, Kapteyn conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Arizona’s Department of Plant Sciences and BIO5 Institute, where he studied specialized plant metabolism. There, his research included genomics-level analyses of plant glandular trichome biochemical pathways responsible for biosynthesis of various natural products.
