Rose Law Group hires former Arizona Corporation Commission executive consultant and attorney Eric Hill

Eric Hill Joins RLG’s Nationally Recognized Renewable Energy Law Department

Rose Law Group pc is proud to announce the hiring of Eric Hill, an experienced former regulatory consultant and attorney, further expanding its energy and regulatory law practice department, which was recently named by Ranking Arizona as “Arizona’s #1 Renewable Energy Law Firm.”

Before joining Rose Law Group, Eric served as an Executive Consultant at the Arizona Corporation Commission. At the Commission, Hill focused on complex regulatory issues pertaining to electric and gas utilities and he was involved in a wide range of utility issues, including rate cases, energy efficiency programs, lost fixed cost recovery (“LFCR”) and revenue decoupling mechanisms, environmental compliance adjustors, and renewable energy standard and tariff (“REST”) plans.

Hill also worked in the Energy Efficiency division of Bonneville Power Administration (“BPA”) in Portland, Oregon. In this role, Hill evaluated and audited utilities’ compliance with federal energy efficiency programs. He worked with over twenty utilities throughout the Pacific Northwest, including managed oversight of all of BPA’s Direct Served Federal sites.

“We are ecstatic to have an attorney of Eric’s caliber join our firm,” said Jordan Rose, founder of Rose Law Group. “Eric has handled a myriad of energy law issues in Arizona. His experience at the Arizona Corporation Commission will be invaluable and will only strengthen our firm’s expansion in the area of renewable energy and regulatory law.”

“Ever since I was a law student, energy law always captured my interest,” said Hill. “It’s truly my passion and I look forward to working with a variety of clients. It’ll be an honor to work with some of the most recognizable attorneys in Arizona in this field at Rose Law Group.”

Rose Law Group’s renewable energy law department, led by Director and Senior Partner Court Rich, works with a diverse range of clients to provide a wide selection of services such as entity formation, project financing, drafting and negotiation of power purchase agreements, and providing representation in front of the Arizona Corporation Commission. Rose Law Group also represents key members of the rooftop solar industry and the United States’ largest distributed generation solar installers in their high profile fight against monopoly utilities that seek to deprive home and business owners of the right to utilize clean solar energy to generate much of their own power.

Rose Law Group is a full service business and real estate law firm also providing services ranging from land use/zoning and real estate transactions, development agreements, complex finance, tax appeals, trusts and estates and family law, to employment, election law, litigation, corporate formation/structure and lobbying.  Rose Law Group is consistently involved in some of the State’s biggest and most important issues from representing the family of the Dallas Ebola victim, to County Sheriffs on Senate Bill 1070 litigation, to revolutionizing the provision of distributed solar generation in Arizona and defending the State’s rights in litigation involving medical marijuana.
