Hosted by Rose Law Group Founder and President Jordan Rose, with Rose Law Group Land Use Attorney Jon Gillespie and Government Relations Department Chair Elizabeth Goodman serving as co-hosts, the Meet the Candidates event provided an opportunity for attendees to connect with individuals seeking to shape Arizona’s future.

The gathering highlighted the importance of civic engagement and building relationships between the business, legal and political communities as Arizona approaches the November election.

Among the featured candidates were Arizona State Representatives Stephanie Simacek and Sarah Liguori, both seeking reelection to the Arizona House of Representatives, and Phoenix City Council candidate Ed Hermes.

Stephanie Simacek, who represents Legislative District 2, is a former first-grade teacher in the Deer Valley Unified School District. Her legislative priorities include consumer protections, addressing insurance claim denials and combating price gouging. Her background in education continues to inform her approach to public service.

Sarah Liguori, an Arizona native representing Legislative District 5 in central Phoenix, brings a background in finance, housing and community development to the Legislature. Her work focuses on housing affordability, healthcare access, education and sustainable growth, with an emphasis on practical, bipartisan solutions.

Ed Hermes, a Phoenix attorney and partner at Snell & Wilmer LLP, is running for Phoenix City Council District 4. Hermes has served on a local school board, the city’s Vision Zero Street Safety Committee and as president of his neighborhood association. His professional background includes construction and state and local tax law.

Hosting events like Meet the Candidates is part of Rose Law Group’s longstanding commitment to fostering meaningful connections and strengthening relationships across Arizona’s civic, business and political communities. The gathering created an opportunity for meaningful dialogue among candidates, community stakeholders and professionals whose work intersects with the policies guiding the direction of Arizona’s growth and development.

As Arizona continues to navigate issues surrounding economic development, housing, infrastructure and community growth, opportunities for open conversation and collaboration remain an important part of the state’s civic landscape.

The evening underscored Rose Law Group’s commitment to fostering relationships and encouraging engagement with the leaders and communities helping shape Arizona’s next chapter.
