Rose Law Group is seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly organized Litigation Paralegal to join our growing Litigation team. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Paralegal with substantial litigation experience and the ability to support attorneys in a diverse range of matters in Arizona state and federal courts. Bankruptcy experience is a plus.
This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Review all incoming and outgoing pleadings, court notices, and correspondence for calendaring and noticing requirements.
- Electronically format, file, and serve pleadings and other legal documents in Arizona superior courts, federal district courts, appellate courts, and bankruptcy courts.
- Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with courts, clients, co-counsel, opposing counsel, and government agencies.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, evidentiary hearings, and trial preparation.
- Maintain, organize, and prepare documents for discovery, contested hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Coordinate service of process and notice of legal documents.
- Prepare and organize exhibits, witness files, hearing binders, trial notebooks, chronologies, summaries, and spreadsheets.
- Provide file documents and supporting materials for attorney review and drafting of pleadings and correspondence.
- Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw and other legal research tools.
- Assist with document collection, review, production, and management using e-discovery platforms.
- Manage electronic and physical case files utilizing iManage document management software.
- Provide general litigation support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Paralegal Certification required.
- Minimum of 10 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment.
- Significant experience supporting attorneys through trial, arbitration, and evidentiary hearings.
- Thorough knowledge of Arizona rules, procedures, and practices in superior courts, federal courts, and appellate tribunals.
- Knowledge of electronic filing procedures in Arizona state courts and federal courts.
- Experience with e-discovery processes, document review, and production.
- Proficiency with iManage document management software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Westlaw.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to anticipate case needs and manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to prepare initial drafts of pleadings, correspondence, discovery documents, and related litigation materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bankruptcy litigation experience.
- Familiarity with superior courts throughout Arizona, including jurisdictions outside of Maricopa County.
- Experience supporting complex commercial, business, real estate, or civil litigation matters.
