Rose Law Group’s New Economy (Virtual) Power Lunch…Season 1 Episode 9

Rose Law Group hosted the ninth episode of The New Economy (Virtual) Power Lunch yesterday. RLG Founder and President Jordan Rose and RLG Co-Founder and Partner Court Rich engaged with another panel of local leaders who shared their insights on COVID-19’s impact on our state. The first panelist was John Carlson, the President of Mark-Taylor Residential. Carlson gave us the update on real estate as he oversees strategy, operations, new business development and property performance for 18,000 luxury apartment units in Arizona and Nevada. John is also a former Chair of the Arizona Multihousing Association. Next on the list, was Arizona’s premiere economist Elliott Pollack. A frequent guest of ours and back by popular demand, Pollack returned to our panel to give us the latest update on the Arizona economy now that businesses have started to reopen in the post COVID-19 world. He is the CEO of the well-respected economic and real estate firm EDPCO. Because commercial lease obligations are often the 2nd or 3rd largest expense for companies today, our third panelist Jonathan Keyser shared his expertise on what tenants can be doing in today’s environment to both secure immediate rental relief, and strategically manage their commercial leases going forward. He is the founder of the Keyser real estate firm- one of the fastest-growing independent commercial real estate firms in the country, serving companies globally across a wide range of industries. Rounding out the panel, was Akram Abdallah, the founder of the jewelry, accessory, and apparel company Nominal which has experienced exponential growth during this pandemic. He spoke about his inspirational start in the business world and also discussed his current business practices that have led to better business in this chaos.
