Southbridge II, a massive project near the Arizona Canal in Old Town Scottsdale, is scheduled to go to a vote in December after a two-month delay.

City officials say they needed more time for negotiations, which include the sale of a city parking lot to the developer, Spring Creek Development.

The deal is slated to go before the Scottsdale City Council on Dec. 4.

The project would dramatically reshape the popular area off Fifth Avenue, which is lined with low-slung buildings housing an eclectic array of shops and restaurants. Some of the buildings would remain, while others would be replaced with new construction that includes a hotel and condos reaching 150 feet high.
