A prominent zoning attorney is working to set up about 4,695 acres of state land east of San Tan Valley for an unidentified user.

Pinal County’s Planning and Zoning Commission will hear a request at its Sept. 17 meeting to designate that land as a “Special District” under an application from zoning attorney Jordan Rose of Rose Law Group, who told the Business Journal she is representing the Arizona State Land Department.

Update: Pinal County’s Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-2 on Sept. 17 to approve a request to re-designate a 4,695-acre parcel east of San Tan Valley into a special district, at the behest of the Arizona State Land Department.
