Makenna Trapani is dedicated to advancing client priorities through strategic advocacy, policy research, and a deep understanding of the Arizona legislative process. With experience in lobbying, legislative internships, and direct engagement in the Capitol, she is committed to building strong relationships and delivering meaningful results for the communities she serves.
A summa cum laude graduate of Arizona State University, Makenna earned her B.S. in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice and Criminology in 2024. During her time at ASU, she participated in the Arizona Legislative Internship Program, serving the 56th Legislature, 2nd Regular Session. In that role, she worked with the committees on Natural Resources (Energy & Water), Health and Human Services, Education, and Elections, gaining firsthand experience in how policy is shaped, debated, and enacted. Beyond the Capitol, Makenna was also a member of ASU’s Shark Lab, where she contributed to conservation-focused research on sharks and ocean ecosystems.
Her professional path also reflects a unique perspective shaped by six years in veterinary medicine, primarily as an emergency and critical care veterinary technician. There, she saw that the greatest gaps in treatment were often not medical, but rather systemic, rooted in deficiencies in animal welfare law and the lack of protections for vulnerable populations. This experience drives her passion for bridging the gap between policy and practice.
Makenna, served as a Government Affairs Intern for Rose Law Group during the 2025 session, supporting clients by tracking bills, analyzing proposals, and contributing to advocacy strategies. Now as a Government Affairs Associate, she continues to apply her knowledge and dedication to public service. She supports clients through bill tracking, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy efforts, always guided by her commitment to impactful, strategic representation.
