Ty Templeton is a Land Use Planner and Project Manager at Rose Law Group, where he provides land use, entitlement, and development consulting services for a variety of project types throughout Arizona. His practice focuses on entitlement strategy, understanding of state and local regulations, coordination of multidisciplinary project teams, and working directly with municipal staff and decisionmakers to advance projects through the development approval process. Ty’s portfolio of experience includes large-scale solar renewable energy facilities, battery energy storage systems, data centers, and a multitude of other industrial, commercial, and residential projects.
Prior to joining RLG, Ty served as a Planner with the City of Tempe’s Community Development Department, where he managed and reviewed a broad range of development applications. His experience in municipal government provides a valuable perspective on the regulatory, procedural, and policy considerations that shape land use decisions and allow the effective navigation of challenges associated with local entitlement processes.
Ty holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Arizona and undergraduate degrees in Urban Planning and Sustainability from Arizona State University. His interdisciplinary background in city planning, real estate, and sustainability informs a practical approach to development that considers both project objectives and broader community, economic, and land use considerations.
Outside of his professional work, Ty enjoys golfing, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
