Alyssa Illsley

Alyssa is a Senior Litigation Attorney with Rose Law Group’s Litigation Department. Her practice includes commercial and business litigation, professional liability claims, bar/restaurant/hospitality litigation, alcohol liability claims, civil litigation, real estate litigation, and insurance litigation. She has valuable experience taking claims from inception all the way through trial. She has a proven track record of favorably resolving claims early through dispositive motions and other strategic discovery tactics. She understands the difficulties and stress that litigation can cause. Her top priority is to always make the litigation process as smooth and cost-effective as possible for her clients so they can just focus on what they do best.

Prior to joining Rose Law Group, Alyssa was an attorney with a national insurance defense firm where she represented and defended clients on a wide variety of general and professional liability claims. Her practice included the areas of dram shop and liquor liability defense, negligent security claims, vicarious liability claims, wrongful death, governmental liability defense, civil rights claims under 42 U.S.C §1983, medical malpractice defense, professional liability, automobile accidents, premises liability, and construction defect claims.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Alyssa worked in a variety of roles for some of the top bars, restaurants, and hospitality groups in Arizona. This experience gives her a deeper understanding of the unique challenges with alcohol service in the rapidly expanding entertainment and tourism market that Scottsdale and the State of Arizona have seen in recent years. Her first-hand knowledge of the service industry allows her to engage in aggressive and cost-effective discovery and resolution methods when representing hospitality and tourism clients. She truly enjoys advising her clients about the recent major changes to Arizona’s dram shop laws so that they can make adjustments to their business models to help lessen their exposure to claims.

Alyssa graduated cum laude from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Justice Studies. She was a member of Delta Gamma sorority and served in a number of executive roles. She obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law. While in law school, she served on the Executive Board of the Corporate and Business Law Society and was an extern in the Drugs and Racketeering Division of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.

When Alyssa is not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Vance, her son, Gavin, and their two pit bulls, Hendrix and Quinn. She also enjoys attending concerts and music festivals, supporting Arizona sports teams, listening to true crime and American history podcasts, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
